The Tulgey Torch, the Miser and 3 Moles
A Tulgey Wood Sparrow was counting his crumbsWatched by a hungry Mouse sucking her thumbs,
Watched by a hungry Mouse sucking each thumb.
Willing the Sparrow to give her a crumb
O! Willing the Sparrow to look up and see
A thumb sucking hungry Mouse wanting her tea
And to our disgust there was nary a word !!
Nor the gift of a crumb from that miserly bird !!
We fed well the poor mouse and set her at ease
……Full routed the miserly Sparrow… Then we
Purloined his crumbs as night time approached
And threw them all into a lit Tulgey Torch
